Two people have been arrested in a Craiglist prostitution bust based out of a New Jersey veterinary office.

Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest and Bedminster Chief of Police William Stephens announced on Wednesday that a two-month investigation dubbed “Operation Net-Vet Harlot” resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Cathy Rosania and 35-year-old David Baker.

Prosecutors say Rosania was the prostitute and Baker her business manager, or pimp. The office is located in the Pluckemin section of Bedminster Township.

Authorities say the investigation began when a Bedminster detective monitoring the Internet for criminal activity found an ad on Craigslist offering erotic services in the Pluckemin/Bedminster area. The officer responded to the ad and ultimately set up an appointment to meet with Rosania at the veterinary facility, located on Route 202-206 North in Bedminster, where Rosania was employed as a veterinary assistant…..READ FULL STORY http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local&id=6296575

“friendliest madam” is back in business – and even giving cops a helping hand.

Julie Moya, known as “the madam with a heart” because she rescued so many animals before she went to jail in 2005, told the Daily News she helped the NYPD nab a Manhattan man accused of preying on hookers.

Todd Cunningham, 25, was arrested Monday on charges that he trolled for escorts on CRAIGSLIST and posed as a cop so he could rob and molest them.

Moya, who was sprung from prison in 2007, said she picked Cunningham out of a lineup after he tried the stunt at her new pleasure palace about three weeks ago.

“He tells [a hooker], ‘You are under arrest for prostitution!’ and he clipped on handcuffs. Then he comes out and says, ‘Everybody sit down. You’re all under arrest,'” Moya said.

“He did it just like cops do it.”

It was another call girl who first led cops to Cunningham.

When he showed up at the woman’s posh upper East Side digs, he flashed his fake identification and demanded cash “or else she’ll be in trouble.”

Cunningham then stole $4,000 and sodomized the woman, a law enforcement source said.

Police tracked Cunningham through the cell phone number he used to book his “date,” sources said. He even answered that phone with a brisk “Officer Woods!” sources said. Out on $25,000 bail, he declined comment.

Moya said Cunningham had a badge and cuffs and even barked into a device, “I need backup!”…………………READ FULL STORY http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2008/07/10/2008-07-10_madam_with_heart_helps_cops_catch_phony_.html
