Now Servicing Westchester

It’s not hard to find sex for sale in Westchester. At least it didn’t take me long to find people who offer it. You can try it yourself: log on to Bigdoggie.net, Theeroticreview.com, Eros.com, or
Craigslist.com. If the number of listings for women who are looking to make a buck with their bodies doesn’t overwhelm you—on Bigdoggie.com alone, there were 15 women available in the Westchester/Fairfield area and many more in New York City—the number of reviews from guys willing to indulge them will. Multiple escorts who serve Westchester and Fairfield had more than 50 reviews. And if you’re confused by what you read, it’s not surprising. Escort sites have a language all their own. “GFE,” for example, means “girlfriend experience,” which means that an escort is willing to do anything a “good” girlfriend would do. But that’s just the most commonly used initials; most of the others cannot be described here………………………………..READ FULL STORY

Two people have been arrested in a Craiglist prostitution bust based out of a New Jersey veterinary office.

Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest and Bedminster Chief of Police William Stephens announced on Wednesday that a two-month investigation dubbed “Operation Net-Vet Harlot” resulted in the arrest of 50-year-old Cathy Rosania and 35-year-old David Baker.

Prosecutors say Rosania was the prostitute and Baker her business manager, or pimp. The office is located in the Pluckemin section of Bedminster Township.

Authorities say the investigation began when a Bedminster detective monitoring the Internet for criminal activity found an ad on Craigslist offering erotic services in the Pluckemin/Bedminster area. The officer responded to the ad and ultimately set up an appointment to meet with Rosania at the veterinary facility, located on Route 202-206 North in Bedminster, where Rosania was employed as a veterinary assistant…..READ FULL STORY http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local&id=6296575

SANTO DOMINGO.- Several New York area media report the court sentence on Wednesday of a man who arranged sex tours to the Dominican Republic and advertised them on Craigslist and other Web sites.

Saeed Ahmed, 29, received a sentence of 10 days of community service and five years probation, after his conviction in May for promoting prostitution through his company, Jump Off Destinations. The tour business operated from his Washington Heights apartment, said Edison Alban of the Manhattan district attorney’s office. He also had is own Web site, in addition to advertising on Craigslist.

The tour package included the number of days, airfare and accommodations, and specified the number of sex partners the client received, prosecutors said. The prostitutes’ fees were buried in the tour package’s upfront cash cost.

Ahmed, in a handwritten statement given to police said he also provided a chauffeur, tour guide and translator for clients visiting the Spanish-speaking Caribbean island for a cost of about $2,500.  He ran the tours for about eight months and included “female companionship, which included sexual favors,” prosecutors said.

A human rights activist from Equality Now uncovered the scheme when the ads were seen in Craigslist’s erotic services section…………….READ FULL STORY http://www.dominicantoday.com/dr/world/2007/7/19/24745/Erotic-Dominican-tours-operator-is-sentenced-in-NY

Web Site Helps Officials Track Prostitution:

A Web site that evaluates the sex trade across the U.S. may help law enforcement crack down on prostitution.

Daniel Weiss, senior analyst for media and sexuality at Focus on the Family Action, said he was shocked by some of the content.

“What’s surprising is how clinical it is,” he said. “It will tell the user exactly what this woman is willing to do.”

“Law enforcement can look at this and see there’s clear solicitation of prostitution going on,” Weiss said. “And that’s a crime.

“Every police department in the country ought to log on to see who’s operating in their area.”

FLORIDA’s self-defense law covers gunning down an angry, armed pimp.

Orange County sheriff’s investigators reached that conclusion Wednesday, a day after an Orlando man killed the manager of a female escort he hired online through the Craigslist networking site.

‘From our perspective, he was clearly defending his life, and we’re not going to be making an arrest,’ sheriff’s homicide Sgt. Allen Lee said. ‘Any time we get a death like this, we do send it to the State Attorney’s Office for review.’

The deadly encounter began Tuesday afternoon on the shores of Lake Irma in east Orange County.

Two roommates, Shawn McGarity and Troy Manning, hired two women from separate Internet ads on Craigslist’s pages for erotic personal services in Orlando, according to investigators.

Unfortunately for the men, according to the Sheriff’s Office, the prostitution trade is in upheaval, split between women and men simply selling their bodies and predators who use sex to lure customers into violent rip-offs.

The first woman to arrive at the lakeside house on TCU Boulevard later told detectives that robberies of johns are making it harder for her to make a living. As the afternoon progressed, the woman who previously worked as a prostitute in San Francisco and New Orleans warned her clients that the other woman they hired might be getting ready to rob them, deputies said.

‘That’s unusual what she did. We’re trying to reach out to her,’ said Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation Cmdr. Paul Zambouros, head of the vice and organized-crime squads. ‘Granted, what she’s doing is not right, but she says she can’t get any jobs because the johns are afraid of getting ripped off.’

As of Wednesday afternoon, Craigslist had more than 100 new posts and photos from Orlando women and men offering sex for prices starting at about $150 for the first half-hour. At the same time, information about the dangers of getting robbed by Orlando’s pimps and prostitutes can be found at various Internet escort Web sites.

‘We didn’t realize it was such a problem. It was eye-opening and concerning, what we learned last night,’ Lee said of questioning the woman about the number of unreported robberies. ‘What’s a john going to do? Call home and say, ‘Honey, I just got robbed by a whore?’

The gunfire erupted shortly after 7 p.m.

Shawn Goubitz-Doss, identified by deputies as the pimp of the woman who was acting suspiciously, returned to the house and pistol-whipped McGarity, 31, almost as soon as he stepped through the door. He fired at least one shot indoors as three accomplices ran toward the house from the street, according to interviews.

Previously alerted by the other woman, McGarity had armed himself with a 9 mm Ruger pistol and shot Goubitz-Doss several times. Goubitz-Doss died later at Winter Park Hospital, according to sheriff’s reports.

‘As far as who shot first, we still don’t know,’ Lee said.

Jail and police records show Goubitz-Doss, 28, had been arrested before on charges of beating a pregnant woman, armed robbery, burglary, violation of probation and stealing a firearm.

The state’s self-defense law passed in October 2005 gives everyone the right to use deadly force to protect their homes and lives without having to retreat if they feel threatened.

Investigators are searching for Goubitz-Doss’ three accomplices, who fled before deputies reached the home. The names of the two women were not released as they are part of the continuing investigation, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

McGarity and Manning, 35, likely will not be charged with soliciting a prostitute.

‘We’re not going to look into that,’ Lee said. ‘We’re just doing the death investigation, but we referred that to MBI.’

The county’s vice cops are interested most in having Craigslist pull the sexually explicit photographs and offers of prostitution from its Orlando classified advertising. In a Sept. 28 letter, Zambouros advised Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster that MBI has arrested more than 100 prostitutes advertising their services on Craigslist.

Craigslist did not respond to a request from the Orlando Sentinel for comment by late Wednesday evening.

‘Everybody thinks prostitution is a victimless crime, but last night shows what can happen when you invite someone into your house or hotel room,’ he said. ‘Craigslist hasn’t gotten back to me.’………………………..READ FULL STORY http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-hookers1807oct18,0,2736084.story

A 13 year old from Texas who stole his Dad’s credit card and ordered two hookers from an escort agency, has today been convicted of fraud and given a three year community order.

Ralph Hardy, a 13 year old from Newark, Texas confessed to ordering an extra credit card from his father’s existing credit card company, and took his friends on a $30,000 spending spree, culminating in playing “Halo” on an Xbox with a couple of hookers in a Texas motel.

The credit card company involved said it was regular practice to send extra credit cards out as long as all security questions are answered.

The escort girls who were released without charge, told the arresting officers something was up when the kids said they would rather play Xbox than get down to business.

Police said they were alerted to the motel by a concerned delivery clerk, whom after delivering supplies of Dr Pepper, Fritos and Oreos had been asked by the kids where they could score some chicks and were willing to pay. They explained they had just made a big score at a “World of Warcraft” tournament and wanted to get some relaxation. On noting the boys age the delivery clerk informed the authorities.

When police arrived at the motel they found $3,000 in cash, numerous electronic gadgets, an Xbox video console with numerous games, and the two local escort girls………….READ FULL STORY http://www.money.co.uk/article/1000390-13-year-old-steals-dads-credit-card-to-buy-hookers.htm

David Elms, is in jail awaiting trial in Los Angeles in a case unrelated to the site, leaving the fate of his influential underground world uncertain. In dozens of conversations and in postings on the Internet in recent weeks, prostitutes have expressed concern that if The Erotic Review goes offline it could hurt business. But in the same breath, many are rejoicing about the potential downfall of Mr. Elms…Ms. Link, the deputy district attorney, said the criminal charges against Mr. Elms stemmed from a night in 2006 when the police were called to a hotel where they found him with 3.8 grams of cocaine and a loaded semi-automatic weapon. A prostitute was there and said Mr. Elms had forced her to perform oral sex at gunpoint, but there was not enough evidence to press charges on that accusation………READ FULL STORY http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/17/us/17erotic.html
